Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, CA, seeks a Float Pool Critical Care RN to support ICU/PCU/ED staffing. The role requires ICU experience, CA RN license, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS credentials, with ability to rotate across units and maintain high‑quality patient care.

You will assess patients, document care plans, and collaborate with house supervisors to ensure appropriate coverage in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years ICU experience.
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
• BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS & PALs certifications (AHA) required.
• NIHSS required within 3 months of hire.
• CCRN encouraged.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessment and documents appropriately for the level of care appropriate to the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age development level, and cultural and religious orientation.
• Performs ICU/PCU/ED standard level of care, completely and accurately including, but not limited to, physical, psychological, social status and other patient needs.
• Exhibits flexibility by rotating within the ICU/PCU/ED units as competent.
