Job summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a Critical Care Float Pool RN for the Overnight shift. Join a Level I trauma center and provide care across Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, CCU, and other CCU areas as needed.

You will implement orders, administer medications, start IVs, and participate in diagnostic testing while maintaining high-quality patient care and collaboration with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional nursing program with a RN license in NYS.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 1-3 years of ICU or progressive care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, prioritization and time management.
• Experience with nursing documentation and QA practices.

Responsibilities

• Implements physician orders and administers medications.
• Starts IVs, performs treatments and records results per policy.
• Assesses patient needs and responses to care.
• Collaborates with team to plan patient care and outcomes.
• Directs ancillary staff and maintains standards of nursing.
