Job summary

This role supports multiple critical care units including ICU, CVICU, PCU, and Step-Down, offering variety and opportunities to expand critical care expertise.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ year in critical care, BSN, BLS, and a passion for high-acuity patient care, collaboration, and adaptable workflow.

Qualifications

• RN license active in state of practice; compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days of start.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in a critical care or acute care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• BSN is required; degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill and high-acuity patients across multiple units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Monitor and respond promptly to changes in patient condition using critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Manage complex patient needs, including advanced monitoring, therapies, and critical care interventions.
• Document patient care accurately and ensure continuity of care across settings.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge needs where appropriate.
• Adapt quickly to varying unit workflows, patient populations, and acuity levels.
• Support a culture of teamwork, mentorship, patient safety, and continuous improvement.
