Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Float Pool. This role floats to ICU, CVICU, PCU and other critical care departments, delivering expert nursing care across high-acuity units.

Requirements include RN license in practice state with compact transfer within 60 days, BSN, BLS, and 1+ year in CCU/acute care. We offer full-time schedules with day/night options and a 10% float differential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice with valid compact license transfer within 60 days.
• Minimum one year of RN experience in a critical care or acute care setting.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers is required.
• BSN is required; degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients across units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Monitor and respond promptly to changes in patient condition with critical thinking.
• Collaborate with physicians, APs, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Document patient care accurately and ensure continuity of care across settings.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge needs.
