Job summary

Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado seeks an experienced Critical Care Float Pool RN to provide high-acuity care across multiple units. You will collaborate with physicians, APPs, therapists, and interprofessional teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

This full-time role offers days or nights with a 10% float differential and requires an active Colorado RN license (or compact transfer within 60 days), a BSN, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days of start date.
• Minimum one year of RN experience in a critical care or acute care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is Required; degree will be verified.
• RN with <12 months experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill and high-acuity patients across units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition with clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and care teams.
• Manage complex patient needs including advanced monitoring and therapies.
• Document care accurately and ensure continuity across settings.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, recovery, and discharge needs.
