Job summary

Air Methods CBS in McHenry, IL, seeks an experienced RN to deliver lifesaving critical care during helicopter transport. You will assess, triage, and treat patients following Medical Director guidelines and ensure safe transport to the appropriate facility.

You will maintain documentation, participate in pre-mission briefings, and keep equipment and supplies ready while adhering to safety standards and aviation procedures essential for rapid response.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• RN license in practice states; BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as required.
• Minimum three years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care during transport from initial contact to facility handoff.
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation and equipment readiness.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and follow safety and aviation standards.
