Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group offers an opportunity for a Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our ICU team in Southeast Virginia, serving Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Suffolk. You’ll provide comprehensive inpatient, patient-centered care on a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting with EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• Experience as Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) in critical care.
• Ability to perform histories, physicals, and assessments.
• Proficient in managing critically ill patients with sepsis, shock, multi-organ failure.
• Experience with ordering and interpreting labs and imaging.
• Willingness to day and night rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient, longitudinal care in the ICU setting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans and manage medications.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and studies.

In this Role:

As a Critical Care Advance Practice Provider, you will provide comprehensive, longitudinal patient-centered care in an inpatient setting while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team

• Perform comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and clinical assessments
• Diagnose and manage critically ill patients with respiratory illness, sepsis, shock, multisystem organ failure, trauma, and other life-threatening conditions
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including medications management and hemodynamic support
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imagine studies, and diagnostic evaluations
• Day and night rotations
