Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic crisis intervention and stabilization during acute crises.
  • Coordinate case management and linkage to community resources.
  • Support clients with skill-building across life domains.
  • Maintain relationships with community providers and families.
  • Complete clinical documentation and treatment planning with accuracy.
  • Participate in supervision and adhere to clinical best practices.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and some weekends.

  • Pay or shift range: $83,811 USD to $97,811 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

The Crisis Youth Social Worker provides crisis and connective services to youth and families who are experiencing significant psychological, emotional, and behavioral problems that are interfering with their well-being in spaces including but not limited to client homes, hospitals, and community spaces. This position will coordinate and implement treatment goals and service delivery for assigned clients, meeting with clients and caregivers on a regular basis. The Crisis Youth Social Worker works alongside a treatment team to help deliver services.

ABOUT MRT

Mobile Response Team (MRT) is a short-term program comprised of a team of clinicians and counselors who can support youth in crisis when there are concerns for immediate safety. MRT supports youth and families by completing a comprehensive risk assessment to determine level of risk, needs of the youth and to explore strengths of the client, family, and community supports. MRT works to facilitate the creation of a safety plan to support youth and their caregivers to minimize the instances and severity of future crises. MRT supports youth with linkage and advocacy in order to connect them and their families to long term services if needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic crisis intervention, stabilization, risk assessment, and collaboration in times of acute crisis.
  • Provide case management services to ensure the successful transition of clients and their families to community-based resources.
  • Provide services to clients that focus on skill building in all life domains.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with community members and providers.
  • Aid in care planning and consultation to team members on clinical issues, including casework issues, as appropriate.
  • Participate in all treatment reviews, program meetings, trainings, and client meetings when necessary.
  • Complete clinical documentation, including but not limited to mental health notes and other paperwork, service tracking documentation, assessments, and treatment planning.
  • Participate in weekly individual and group supervision.
  • Adhere to clinical best practices.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule that includes early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends as needed.
  • Participate in providing emergency on-call response as scheduled.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • Eligible to register/registered with the CA BBS.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
Preferred
  • Experience working with children in out-of-home care.

Schedule
  • Full-Time, On-site
    • Sun - Wed, 12pm - 10pm OR
    • Wed - Sat, 12pm - 10pm
    • Flexibility with schedule required to accommodate schedules of clients and families.
  • One overnight on-call shift per week, 10 pm to 8 am
  • Starting at $83,811 - $97,811 per year.
  • Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role.
  • Additional $4000 salary increase for BBS licensure.
  • Additional salary increase upon passing of a bilingual proficiency exam.
