Job summary

Seneca is seeking a Crisis Therapist to provide clinical services in the Partial-Hospitalization Program (PHP), co-facilitate training, complete documentation, and support program integrity. The role centers on group therapy, with solid teamwork in a STEP program for youth ages 12-17.

Responsibilities include holding clinical integrity, on-time documentation, facilitating therapy, risk assessments, and discharge planning, plus contributing to staff trainings and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
• Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
• Ability to work effectively as part of a transdisciplinary team.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, computer, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize projects.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• TB test clearance, fingerprinting, and licensing/certification requirements.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.

• Pay or shift range: $75,409 USD to $89,409 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Description

The primary responsibility of the Crisis Therapist is to provide clinical services to Seneca's Partial-Hospitalization Program (PHP) clients, co-facilitate training for the PHP team, complete documentation, and support the clinical integrity of the program. Therapists in the PHP provide intensive, short-term and stabilization services to enable clients to step down to lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. The main treatment modality is group therapy.

About STEP Programs

The STEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration, and Progress) program provides Partial Hospitalization services to youth ages 12-17. The goal of the STEP program is to provide intensive, short-term stabilization services to enable our clients to step down to lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. All groups are designed to teach youth the skills necessary to help them learn about their mental health, provide psychoeducation, and help them learn skills to feel better and be safe. STEP consists of a multidisciplinary team of counselors, clinicians, a nurse, psychiatrist, and program supervisor.

• Education/Experience requirements:
  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related subject area
  • Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)

Ability to prioritize projects

• At least 21 years of age
• TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy

Schedule

• Full-time, 100% on-site
• Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Starting at $75,409- $89,409 per year
• Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications
• Salary increases each year
• $4000 salary increase upon licensure
• Additional compensation provided upon passing a bilingual language proficiency exam
