Job summary

Seneca is seeking a Crisis Program Supervisor in California to lead a direct care team providing 24/7 crisis services for youth and families. The role includes supervision, scheduling, and program oversight to ensure safe and equitable outcomes, while promoting respect, curiosity, and hope.

You will coach staff, oversee hiring, and manage documentation for compliance and billing, with a focus on anti-racism and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work/Counseling/Psychology/Marriage & Family Therapy or a Bachelor’s with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with youth or families in mental health or crisis support.
  • Must participate in rotating emergency on-call system and be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, coaching, training, and support to direct care staff.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, and staff development.
  • Foster an anti-racism, anti-oppression, and equity-centered culture for youth, families, and staff.
  • Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure 24/7 program operations.
  • Maintain awareness of youth in care and ensure safety planning and crisis response.
  • Respond to crises and provide consultation and guidance to staff as needed.
  • Review and provide feedback on documentation for compliance and billing.
  • Monitor program performance, contract requirements, and data tracking and reporting.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

  • Education/Experience Requirements:
    • Master’s degree in Social Work/Counseling/Psychology/Marriage & Family Therapy OR
    • Bachelor’s degree + 3 years of experience
    • Applicable experience can include paid or unpaid experience working with youth or families, working in a mental health setting or providing crisis support to youth
  • Be part of a rotating emergency on-call system, scheduled ahead of time
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and insurability through Senecas’ insurance policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements

PREFERRED:

  • Ability to work as part of and facilitate the development of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong critical-thinking, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Supervisory experience

SCHEDULE

  • Full-time; four 10-hour shifts per week
    • Option 1: Monday - Thursday, 4pm - 2am
    • Option 2 : Wednesday - Saturday, 8am - 6pm
  • Exact schedule can be determined with the program Director
  • Rotating on-call shift scheduled ahead of time

BENEFITS

    • Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications
