Job summary

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Victim Services Specialist to maintain a caseload of victims of alcohol and drugged driving, provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and referrals for long-term needs. The role includes court accompaniment and guidance through legal, financial, and medical systems.

Hybrid work arrangement with residency in the Albuquerque area. Salary is $45,000; bilingual Spanish preferred; Bachelor’s in human services and prior victim

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (e.g. social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice) with at least 1 year of victim advocacy/case management experience.
• Spanish bilingualism is highly preferred.
• Equivalent experience in victim advocacy and/or grief support may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments for victims/survivors of impaired driving and provide emotional support and referrals.
• Maintain ongoing assessment of coping and need for referrals.
• Develop and implement tailored case management plans, including crisis intervention and grief support when needed.
• May accompany victims to court and advocate for victims’ rights and access to services.
• Build community partnerships to improve victim services and outreach.
