Horizon Health Corporation seeks a Unit Coordinator for the new Crisis Receiving Center in Richmond, VA. This role ensures smooth operation of the unit, oversees registrations, insurance verification, patient flow, and coordination with clinical staff.

You will manage court orders, maintain records, support staff onboarding, and provide 24/7 support to crisis teams while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of related administrative work experience.
• Associate degree or higher in business, clinical administration or behavioral health preferred.
• Notary public within 90 days preferred or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clerical support to Crisis Services Unit operations.
• Oversee patient registration, insurance verification, phone inquiries, and scheduling.
• Maintain patient board and coordinate with clinical staff for admission status.
• Monitor involuntary paperwork processes and coordinate with providers.
• Support onboarding and training for new crisis team staff.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with policies and regulations.
