As a Crisis Therapist / Social Worker, you’ll provide intensive, short-term mental health services to youth in our STEP Day Treatment Intensive program. You’ll use primarily group-based therapy to help youth build skills, understand their mental health, and navigate periods of crisis and stabilization. You’ll also collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, support staff training, and help maintain the clinical quality of the program as youth work toward transitioning to lower levels of outpatient care.
ABOUT STEP
The STEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration and Progress) Program is located in Salinas, CA. STEP provides day treatment intensive, short-term stabilization services to youth, ages 12 – 17, for an average of 15 days. Our goal is to reintegrate our youth into schools and the community with lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. All groups are designed to teach youth the skills necessary to help them learn about their mental health, provide psychoeducation, and help them learn skills to feel better and be safe.
