Seneca is seeking a Program Supervisor in Salinas, CA, to lead day treatment services for youth ages 12–17, ensuring safety, quality care, and program integrity. The role oversees staff, partnerships, and clinical operations while partnering with leadership to strengthen delivery and outcomes.

The position supports a $2,000 sign-on bonus for new employees and offers salary between $87,914 and $101,914 per year, with annual increases and additional incentives based on experience, bilingual

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Psychology/Counseling/Social Work or related field.
  • Licensed with California BBS: LSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in crisis programs or related field.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • TB test and fingerprint clearance; other state/federal licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall quality of the Day Treatment Intensive location.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
  • Collaborate with Program Director to recruit and mentor team.
  • Maintain relationships with referral sources and partners.
  • Lead risk assessments and family therapy sessions as needed.
  • Prepare program reports and meet weekly with the Program Director.

As the Program Supervisor, you'll lead a dedicated team providing day treatment short-term stabilization services to youth as they build the skills needed to thrive at home, in school, and in their community. You'll oversee clinical quality, program operations, staff development, and safety while ensuring a supportive and engaging treatment environment. In partnership with leadership, you will strengthen key relationships and support the continued success of the program. Our Program Supervisor will collaborate with the Program Director to recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team. ABOUT STEP

TheSTEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration and Progress)Program is located in Salinas, CA. STEP provides intensive, day treatment short-term stabilization services to youth, ages 12 - 17, for an average of 15 days. Our goal is to reintegrate our youth into schools and the community with lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. All groups are designed to teach youth the skills necessary to help them learn about their mental health, provide psychoeducation, and help them learn skills to feel better and be safe.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the overall quality of the assigned Day Treatment Intensive location
  • Perform personnel functions including overseeing the program development, interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluation of all staff
  • Participate in regular meetings with collaborating community partners
  • Maintain positive relationships with referral sources
  • Prepare and submit all necessary program reports
  • Meet at least weekly with the Program Director
  • Approve documentation including incident reports, mental health notes, DSM-V diagnoses, treatment plans, and other clinical documents
  • Address individual training needs for team members
  • Provide support including facilitation or co-facilitation of group session, conducting risk assessments, facilitating intakes and family therapy sessions, and holding client cases as needed
  • Utilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's crisis response training

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology/Counseling/Social Work, or related subject area
  • Licensed with California BBS: LSW, LMFT, or LPCC
  • 3 years of experience in crisis program or related field
  • At least 21 years of age
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Senecas’ insurance policy

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work on multidisciplinary team

SCHEDULE

  • Full-time
    • Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4PM

  • Starting at $87,914 - $101,914 per year, commensurate with experience
  • Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
