Job summary

CN Guidance & Counseling Services is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct service within a 24/7 crisis stabilization program in New York. The role supports assessments of mental health and substance use disorders as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least six months of related experience, with preference for acute psychiatric settings. The position offers full-time benefits and opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of related experience required; experience in an acute, psychiatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage with incoming clients.
• Assist clients around the ICSC including directing them to the locker rooms, assisting with and laundry.
• Help clients participate in recreational activities.
• Provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by assisting in cleanup after client's treatment rooms and recreational areas.
• Ensure the health and safety of staff and clients in emergency situations.
• Assess situations to determine importance, urgency/risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
• Facilitate sharing of data with the individuals to whom it applies to facilitate partnered decision-making and to keep clients informed of progress
• Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed.
