Job summary

Claratel Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Social Service Technician (SST) Manager to oversee DRCC operations and supervise paraprofessional staff in a high‑acuity behavioral health setting. The role emphasizes trauma‑informed leadership, safety, and collaboration across teams.

The Manager will ensure daily schedules, supervise technicians, and coordinate group activities to promote client stabilization and quality outcomes while maintaining compliance and professional standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5 years of Behavioral Health or Human Services experience; or a Bachelor's degree with 2 years experience.
• Minimum 1 year in a management or leadership role.
• At least 1 year of experience in an inpatient psychiatric, crisis stabilization, or secured facility.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative supervision of Behavioral Health and Crisis Safety Technicians.
• Coach, mentor, and provide professional development to direct support in the areas of client engagement, client support, and milieu safety.
• Maintain regularly scheduled and documented individual and group supervision sessions.
• Model trauma-informed leadership during high-stress situations.
• Ensure participation by the technician role in shift pass and treatment team.
• Serves as the administrator onsite for the night shift (Night Shift SST Manager Only)
