Job summary

The Guidance Center is a Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. It seeks a Crisis Director to lead crisis services, ensure quality care, and drive program improvement.

Join a team focused on comprehensive care with hours Mon-Fri 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with possible evenings and weekends. Salary ranges from $113,329.97 to $118,479.97 per year, with benefits and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Required Licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC OR LCMFT by the first day of employment.
• Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling.
• Ability to embrace multi-disciplinary approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of the center's crisis services to ensure quality of care, fiscal and clinical accountability, regulatory compliance, and efficient delivery of crisis services.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate processes, procedures, and policies related to delivery, coordination, documentation, and reporting of crisis services.
• Ensure the Center complies with licensing, accreditation, contractual, and regulatory requirements related to crisis services and provide training and technical assistance as needed.
• Participate in and document supervision meetings with supervisees, direct reports, and team meetings involved in crisis service delivery.
• Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and evaluate staff reporting to the Director of Crisis Services, ensuring high-quality crisis intervention.
• Develop and deliver ongoing staff training on crisis intervention, suicide prevention, risk assessment, de-escalation, trauma-informed care, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the Hospital Liaison program for all counties served by TGC.
• Coordinate with HealthSource partnership for effective service collaboration.
• Coordinate and implement CISD supports for community members and first responders as needed.
• Participate in community partnerships such as the Leavenworth Suicide Prevention Coalition to support crisis services.
