Denton County Friends of the Family is seeking a compassionate Crisis Services Advocate to join its Crisis Services team. The role delivers crisis intervention, intakes, safety planning, and information referrals for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
You will respond to the 24/7 crisis line, support the Survivors Advocacy Team (SAT), and coordinate with hospitals and law enforcement as needed. A bachelor’s degree and trauma-informed approach are required.
Description
We are looking for a compassionate and team-orientated Crisis Services Advocate to join our Crisis Services team providing crisis service delivery, including agency Intakes, walk-in services, needs assessments, safety planning, information and referrals, assessing level of risk, providing information about crime victims' rights and agency services, answering the 24/7 Crisis Line, and supporting Survivors Advocacy Team (SAT) response. This position includes participation in an on-call rotation for SAT response. This position requires daytime/evening weekday and daytime weekend availability with an anticipated schedule of Sunday (8am-4pm) and Monday-Thursday (12pm-8pm). Schedule is subject to change based on agency need.
