Job summary

CarePoint Response, Inc. in Baltimore, MD seeks a Training & Outreach Coordinator to coordinate and deliver mental health awareness, crisis-response, and suicide-prevention training across CPR’s community initiatives.

The role manages training schedules, logistics, and materials while engaging schools, emergency responders, veterans, and public-serving partners to expand access to crisis services. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and proven experience in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Experience in behavioral health training and crisis intervention.
• Experience with multi-agency coordination and community engagement.
• Experience with high-volume training logistics and records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily project operations, calendars, work plans, training logistics, host-site coordination, materials, records, and follow-up activities.
• Recruit and register school and youth-serving personnel, emergency responders, law enforcement, veterans and veteran-serving personnel, families, caregivers, faith leaders, and other public-serving participants.
• Coordinate and deliver Adult, Youth, and Public Safety Mental Health First Aid, QPR Gatekeeper Training, and project-specific crisis navigation content.
• Provide scenario-based instruction and skills practice on recognizing mental illness, suicide warning signs, trauma-responsive engagement, de-escalation, and crisis response.
• Reinforce correct use of 911, 988, mobile crisis, crisis residential care, screening, assessment, treatment, peer support, and other resources.
• Conduct at least 30 trainings for 500 key individuals each project year and support the goal of 1,500 trained over three years.
• Administer registration and attendance records, pre/post assessments, scenario-based competency checks, and satisfaction tools; conduct 90-day follow-ups.
• Develop, distribute, and coordinate quarterly verification materials and coordinate annual resource-guide trainings for agencies and community sessions.
• Participate in community well-being activities and advisory boards; coordinate partner communications and outreach campaigns.
• Maintain trainer-fidelity documentation, curriculum records, instructor credentials, and timely data submission; provide warm-handoff instructions when needed.
• Review results with the project team and implement corrective actions or improvements.
