Job summary

Pawnee Mental Health Services, Inc. is seeking dedicated staff to support clients in a high‑intensity crisis environment.

The role involves maintaining a safe therapeutic setting, assisting with crisis interventions, and supporting daily client routines across CSU and community settings. Applicants should have at least one year of mental health/crisis experience, be 18+, hold a high school diploma, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience working in mental health/crisis services.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for all clients on the CSU.
• Provide crisis intervention support, de-escalation, and safety planning.
• Assist with daily routines including hygiene, meals, recreation, and medication pass support.
• Complete shift documentation, incident reports, and safety logs accurately.
• Respond to crisis line calls with empathy and de-escalation protocols.
• Assist with crisis intake, admissions coordination, and transfers.
• Support mobile crisis field interventions and community crisis responses.
