Job summary

Gryphon Place is seeking a Crisis Supervisor to provide real-time leadership for frontline staff delivering MiCAL crisis services. You will supervise crisis specialists, guide clinical decision-making, and ensure protocol adherence in a 24/7 contact center environment.

The role emphasizes coaching, rapid escalation handling, and maintaining high-quality service while supporting staff well-being and performance. This full-time position offers a dedicated team and a mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
• Current licensure (LMSW, LPC, LP, or equivalent) in the State of Michigan.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of crisis intervention or behavioral health experience.
• Certified Crisis Specialist (or ability to be certified within 1 year of hire).
• Must be a resident of Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time, direct supervision of crisis specialists during shifts.
• Offer clinical guidance on crisis intervention, risk assessment, and de-escalation.
• Manage shift operations, staffing coverage, and real-time adjustments.
• Foster a supportive, collaborative team environment across shifts.
• Document and communicate shift activity and incidents to the Manager.
• Collaborate with MiCAL Crisis Services Manager and Training/Quality teams.
• Assist with coverage across evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
