Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must hold a Peer Support Certification or complete within 12 months of hire.
• Willing to identify as a former or current consumer of mental health/substance services.
• All Peer Support Specialists must meet certification requirements within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency crisis coverage to adults/youth in behavioral health crisis.
• Offer telehealth crisis assessments and recommendations to partners and individuals.
• Assist in de-escalation and crisis stabilization to support safety and diversion.
• Evaluate severity of mental/behavioral health symptoms and document findings.
• Develop safety, treatment, and intervention plans; provide crisis safety planning.
• Complete required program documentation; participate in on-call rotations.
• Support recovery by active listening, resource connection, and stigma reduction.
• Engage in supervision, team meetings, and community partner activities.
