Job summary

Legacy Treatment Services is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to lead engagement and provide non-clinical support after crisis stabilization. You will demonstrate peer-to-peer competency and work in a response team with a Crisis Response Specialist.

Qualified candidates have crisis intervention training and 2+ years of recovery from SMI/SUD, plus 1 year of field experience with community individuals. Certification from CRSP/CPRS or NAADAC/NCPRSS is required.

Qualifications

• Must be trained in crisis intervention.
• At least 2 years of continuous recovery from an SMI or SUD.
• At least 1 year of field experience working with community individuals.
• Certification from CRSP/CPRS or NAADAC/NCPRSS or Wellness Coach or CMHAA.
• Driver's license in good standing with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement with consumers and provide non-clinical peer support.
• Conduct assessments, risk assessment, and safety planning.
• Link consumers to services and follow up as part of crisis outreach.
• Collaborate with Crisis Response Specialists to de-escalate crises when needed.
