Kansas City, MO. Rose Brooks Center, a nonprofit domestic violence agency, is currently seeking a full-time Crisis Response Advocate.
The Crisis Response Advocate provides survivor-centered, trauma-informed, accessible, and inclusive crisis advocacy to survivors of domestic violence, primarily referred through the Bridge Program and law enforcement. This position is co-located at higher volume hospitals to maintain the support and utilization of the Bridge Program.
Crisis advocacy services include safety planning; assisting survivors with Emergency Ex Parte Orders of Protection and Crime Victims’ Compensation applications; connecting survivors to Rose Brooks Center services and community resources; and providing follow-up advocacy. The Crisis Response Advocate also supports the Bridge Program and Lethality Assessment Program (LAP) while collaborating across agency programs, multidisciplinary partners, and external systems to provide coordinated, survivor-centered services that advance the agency’s mission and values.

Full-time, non-exempt. The regular schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight) and Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This position requires work on some holidays, including holidays that may fall on an employee’s regularly scheduled day off.
This full-time, non-exempt position starts at an hourly rate of $20.00 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
