Job summary

Edelman Smithfield seeks a Senior Vice President, Crisis & Reputation Risk to lead data security and privacy crisis work for clients across industries. You will counsel executives, drive strategic communications, and guide cross-functional teams through high-stakes incidents and reputational challenges.

You will partner with legal, forensics, insurers and regulators, oversee global DSP offerings, grow client relationships, and mentor senior staff in fast-moving environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years crisis management experience.
• Experience running integrated account work, managing a team and growing account work with clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior leaders to counsel clients on complex cybersecurity/data security and privacy crises.
• Lead incident response communications strategies and playbooks.
• Collaborate with legal, forensics, insurers, and security teams to develop holistic data security response plans.
• Translate cybersecurity and privacy issues into clear executive communications for boards, employees, customers and media.
• Lead and mentor junior staff; oversee budget and billing for crisis account work.
• Drive new business development and expand the DSP offering within Edelman’s global network.
