Edelman in Chicago seeks a Vice President for the Global Crisis & Reputation Risk practice to counsel clients through complex crises, bolster trust, and grow the firm’s food & bev portfolio. You will partner with senior leaders, shaping crisis offerings and fueling strategic growth across industries.

The role requires invigorated problem-solving, risk mitigation thinking, and leadership of high-stakes client accounts with a focus on reputation management and proactive client counsel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of crisis management experience with integrated account leadership and team management.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule: 3 days/week in Chicago office or on-site with clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.

Responsibilities

• Drive crisis account work strategically and develop the client roster.
• Lead account teams’ operational and financial performance with quality deliverables and timely client responses.
• Counsel clients based on business goals; translate feedback into actions.
• Develop client communications plans and materials.
• Mentor junior staff and provide clear feedback to advance work products.
• Lead new business development within Edelman’s global network to grow the food & bev offering.
• Demonstrate advanced writing skills and supervise writing of others.
• Lead traditional and social media relations strategies and storytelling for clients.
• Manage billing and budgets.
