Job summary

Recovery Innovations in Peoria, AZ, is seeking a Milieu Specialist to lead de-escalation and support strategies in our Crisis - Recovery Response Center. This role helps prevent seclusion and restraint while providing rapid emergency response to ensure safety.

The position is PRN / non-exempt with two 12-hour shifts per month; wage is $23.50/hr for Living Room and $25.50/hr for Observation shifts.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work various shifts.
• Must be able to pass de-escalation training, as defined by state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides a No-Force-First recovery environment.
• Conducts ongoing observation of individuals for reporting changes.
• Assists in developing natural supports and community living with guests to strengthen valued roles.
• Assists with food preparation, serving and clean up, as needed.
• Assists individuals with shower and clean-up.
• Performs room safety checks, insuring individuals are safe and rooms are clean.
• Responds quickly to critical situations that may require Restrictive Interventions.
• Completes clinical documentation as required.
• Keeps abreast of federal/state regulations and Recovery Innovations policies.
• Understands and adheres to compliance standards in Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
• Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers of individuals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
