Job summary

The Crisis Program Coordinator at HEADQUARTERS KANSAS INC is a full-time, on-site role in Lawrence, KS. The position oversees crisis chat and call program operations, ensuring coverage, policy adherence, and 988 Lifeline standards while supervising staff and volunteers.

Travel may be required for meetings, and occasional evenings or weekends are expected due to on-call rotations. A Master’s in a human-service field and ASIST training are requested, with supervisory experience valued.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a human-service related field.
• Completion of Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) or ability to obtain within the first three months.
• 1 year of experience with crisis and suicide intervention.
• 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Experience providing training and delivering constructive feedback in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, quality, and effectiveness of the crisis chat and call programs, ensuring continuous coverage and adherence to established policies and 988 Lifeline standards.
• This role provides clinical and administrative supervision to staff and volunteers, including coaching, performance management, and support to promote ethical practice and staff wellness.
• Responsibilities include crisis program operations, staff supervision, program performance & policy development, staffing recruitment & onboarding, and other duties as assigned by organizational leadership.
