Job summary

The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia is seeking a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) for its Behavioral Health Crisis Center in Dublin, GA. The role includes rounds, medication management, and discharge planning within a 40-bed facility offering crisis stabilization and observation beds.

The PMHNP must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, an active GA NP license, PMHNP-BC, DEA registration, and BLS (ACLS preferred).

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current, active, and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred, if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Conducts medical and psychiatric rounds on CSU/TO individuals at a minimum of every 24 hours.
• Provides documentation including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Monitors and manages acute and chronic medical conditions within scope.
• Performs psychiatric and medical evaluations for individuals in crisis at the CSC.
• Completes medication reconciliation at admission and discharge.
• Reviews referrals for admission and documents decisions.
• Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and discharge planning.
• Places and manages clinical orders and ensures timely signature.
• Maintains compliance with regulations and standards of care.
• Demonstrates strong clinical judgment and crisis intervention skills.
