Job summary

True North Recovery Inc. seeks a Crisis Peer Support Specialist to provide immediate access to services for clients in crisis and link them to assessments, housing, and community resources.

You will use motivational interviewing to help clients navigate treatment options with compassion and understanding. The role requires strong writing, collaboration with treatment teams, and active engagement in community outreach.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in human services or related field.
• If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety prior to hire.
• Must obtain CDC II within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Create a supportive, non-judgmental environment to build rapport and motivate individuals.
• Provide direct peer support to clients in active crisis including linkages to assessments and community resources.
• Assist clients in identifying and mitigating crisis stabilization needs.
• Serve as a liaison to providers and treatment teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the client's EHR using DAP or DJF note formats.
