Job summary

Pacific Clinics is seeking dedicated Crisis Peer Partners to join the Mobile Crisis Response Team in Nevada County. This role supports crisis calls, gathers information, and assists in crisis assessment and de-escalation.

The position emphasizes lived experience and teamwork within the crisis continuum of care. The Crisis Peer Partner will work to de-escalate acute mental health crises, connect individuals with resources, and operate on a 24/7 basis in the Nevada County community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of relevant experience equals one year).
• Minimum 18 years of age required.
• Must know or quickly acquire extensive knowledge of local community resources.
• Be able to articulate the experience and perspective of an individual with complex needs involving mental health, homelessness, or probation services.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct crisis services in community settings.
• Documents in alignment with MediCal regulations and meets productivity expectations.
• Engages and builds alignment with individuals' family and natural supports.
• Uses strengths of individuals and natural supports to achieve goals and outcomes.
• Works with individuals and family to create strength-based crisis interventions and planning.
• Identifies therapeutic opportunities in crisis situations.
• Assists individuals in developing a hypothesis of function and unmet need to tailor interventions.
• Travels to crisis locations as needed.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

• The initial compensation for this position ranges from $25.31 to $31.12 per hour; depending on experience, location, and internal equity considerations.
• 8% License Differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD. and select PeerCertifications.*
• 7.5% Bilingual Differential for qualified positions*

About our Program: Pacific Clinics is providing Crisis Response Team services for Nevada County which will include the provisions of emergency crisis intervention services to Nevada County residents. They will be provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days per year. Services will include both community-based mobile crisis services and responses to emergency departments. The Crisis Response Team will intervene to de-escalate the behavioral health crisis, including those who are acutely suicidal, homicidal or gravely disabled and stabilize the client at their location, reducing the need for higher level of care.

Pacific Clinics is seeking dedicated Crisis Peer Partners who have a passion for supporting individuals having acute MH crisis on the Mobile Crisis Response Team in Nevada County. We’re looking for someone with personal “lived experience,” experience in de-escalating MH crisis, and is team oriented excited about partnering with the crisis continuum of care in Nevada County. We’re looking for someone whose role will be to support the crisis call line by gathering information, supporting callers and identifying needs related to the current crisis situation. Along with their partner, will support in the community with providing crisis assessment and de-escalation of individuals who are experiencing an acute mental health or behavioral crisis.

Pay Range

$25.31 - $31.12

Job Summary

Oversees a program that provides 24/7 crisis response and stabilization services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Intervenes with crisis behaviors while developing the individuals strengths and interests. Responsible for linking to community resources. Helps to create permanent connections for individual. May search, locate, and engage individuals' natural supports. Assists with transitioning individual to the lowest level of care needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct services individuals in crisis in community setting
• Provides direct billable mental health services, documents in alignment with MediCal regulations, and achieves set productivity expectations.
• Engages and builds alignment and relationships with individuals' family, and natural supports.
• Utilizes strengths of individuals and natural supports to assist in the implementation and achievement of goals and outcomes.
• Works individuals and/or family/natural supports to create strength-based planning and crisis interventions.
• Understands and takes advantage of therapeutic opportunities in crisis situations.
• Conducts observations regarding specific target behavior of individual or youth to support their intended identified outcome.
• Assists individuals in developing a hypothesis of function and underlying unmet need to develop individualized, strength-based strategies and interventions that will result in positive behavior change.
• Works in the community directly with individuals and/or family to develop and implement safety and skill refinement plans.
• Driving to individuals in crisis in the location identified.
• Position specific duties and responsibilities may vary depending upon program.
• Performs other responsibilities, as assigned, to support department/business needs.
