Job summary

River Edge Behavioral Health Center in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide medication administration, crisis assessment, and care coordination at the Billingslea and LifeSPRING locations. The role includes supervising LPNs, implementing Health Care Plans, and wound care as needed.

Responsibilities include patient assessments during crises, de-escalation support, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure quality care for adults in a crisis setting.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in behavioral health/IDD or related field.
• Good computer skills are required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to foster relationships are a plus.
• IDD experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Conduct initial patient assessments during crises.
• Provide oversight for LPN staff, including documentation and care planning.
• Treat and dress wounds and other health issues arising in crises.
• Assist in managing and de-escalating crises using medical knowledge and crisis-intervention techniques.
