Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience working with chronically mentally ill populations.
• Ability to make sound decisions independently in daily operations, including emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Conducts emergency mental health screenings for individuals entering the facility.
• Assesses crisis calls/walk-ins using Baker Act criteria and DSM-5 standards to determine needs.
• Provides crisis intervention as needed.
• Coordinates patient transfers to community hospitals.
• Coordinates with insurers for pre-certifications and authorizations.
• Completes required clinical documentation and reporting.
