Job summary

Pacific Clinics is seeking a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) to support general medical and psychiatric care for youth in our CSU program in California. You will assist the RN and Psychiatrist, administer medications, and conduct medical and psychiatric screenings to address crises and improve care outcomes.

The role requires CA LVN licensure, the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary care, and participation in after-hours coverage with AWS scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and one year of relevant clinical experience.
• Completion of approved LVN training and California LVN license or certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff RN and Psychiatrist in nursing processes and medication orders.
• Conduct medical and psychiatric screening during crises for youth.
• Coordinate pediatric medical treatment, including crisis response and restraints if needed.
• Admit/discharge youth and perform health assessments and vitals.
• Manage medical/psychiatric records and PHI per standards.
• Schedule and coordinate medical, dental, and labs, including external psychiatry.
• Respond to after-hours needs and participate in committees.
