Job summary

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician in acute adult outpatient or inpatient psychiatric unit.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current California State Licensed Psychiatric Technician license.

Responsibilities

• Accept and process physician orders in collaboration with the RN.
• Provide continuous bedside clinical observations and prescribed care under RN supervision.
• Report changes in patient condition and family needs as needed.
• Offer psychoeducational group support and contribute to the therapeutic milieu.
• Demonstrate crisis intervention skills and promote patient safety.
• Assist in discharge instructions and follow-up arrangements.
