Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and one year of relevant clinical experience, or equivalent with two years of experience equaling one year of education.
• Completion of a program approved by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians; licensed or certified in CA.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff RN and Psychiatrist with nursing processes and medication orders.
• Conduct medical and psychiatric screenings in crisis situations involving youth.
• Coordinate and oversee pediatric medical treatment, including crisis response and restraints if needed.
• Admit/discharge youth and perform health assessments and vital signs.
• Maintain medical/psychiatric records and PHI in an organized, compliant manner.
