Job summary

Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) is seeking a Mental Health Therapist/Counselor for the 3rd shift at our new Crisis Receiving Center in Cincinnati, OH. The role supports individuals in crisis with rapid intervention and short-term stabilization, working as part of an interdisciplinary team.

A Master's degree in social work or counseling and Ohio licensure (CT/SWT, LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC) are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or counseling.
• Ohio license CT/SWT, LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC.
• Experience in crisis services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health and diagnostic assessments for walk-in and law enforcement-referred clients.
• Provide crisis de-escalation and brief interventions using MI, CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based methods.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe discharge planning and coordinated follow-up.
• Diagnose using DSM-5 and contribute to treatment recommendations.
• Deliver therapy in a trauma-informed, client-centered environment.
