Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a mental health professional to provide crisis evaluations and psychosocial assessments for patients in psychiatric crises across campus and mobile locations. You will coordinate care, discharge planning, and referral pathways with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Master’s in Human Services and licensure eligibility (LICSW/LISW/LMHC) with timely pursuit of credentials. Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human Services or equivalent.
• Must be license eligible upon hire (LICSW, LISW, or LMHC) with timelines for licensure.
• Experience in Psychiatry/Mental Health and crisis intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial history and mental status assessments in psychiatric crisis.
• Determine appropriate level of care and coordinate referrals.
• Develop and maintain a safe therapeutic environment and participate in emergencies.
• Triages calls for psychiatric emergencies and offers referrals.
