Job summary

CBEM in Eureka, CA is seeking a Critical Intervention Specialist to provide crisis support and stabilization planning for individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring conditions. This is a full-time, exempt, in-person role reporting to the Program Director.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a related field, has human services experience, and a California driver’s license. The position offers benefits, paid holidays, wellness days, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, Special Education, ABA, Sociology, or related field.
• Experience in the human services field is required.
• California driver’s license in good standing and insurance.
• Experience with Developmentally Disabled population is a bonus.
• Must live near catchment area: Humboldt, Trinity, Mendocino, and Del Norte counties.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to individuals in crisis; prevention, acute, or chronic crisis management.
• Develop a Stabilization Plan and Case Review.
• Consult with a Psychiatrist, BCBA, and Psychologist.
• Participate in hotline rotation addressing acute crisis calls.
• Attend clinical trainings and contribute to interdisciplinary planning meetings.
