The candidate will work with hospitals, emergency departments, and community providers to ensure high-quality care, complete documentation, and adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or 5+ years direct mental health care experience in related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or RN with 5+ years direct mental health care experience, including 2+ years supervisory experience.
  • RN license or nursing degree with relevant direct mental health care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct crisis assessments and interventions for individuals in mental health or substance use crises.
  • Provide support and counseling via crisis hotline and in-person services.
  • Assist individuals and families in accessing community resources and treatment services.

Earn a living where your heart truly belongs.Keystone Health CrisisCrisis Intervention Specialist IIPart-Time (30 hours weekly) - evenings and weekends, plus on- call shifts.Keystone Health Crisis is seeking a compassionate and experienced Crisis Intervention Specialist II to join our team. This position plays a critical role in providing immediate support and intervention services to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises throughout Franklin and Fulton Counties.The Keystone Health Crisis Intervention Program provides mental health and drug and alcohol crisis services through a 24-hour hotline, in-person assessments at the Crisis office, and face-to-face intervention in local hospital emergency departments. The Crisis Intervention Specialist II works collaboratively with individuals, families, healthcare providers, and community agencies to assess needs, provide crisis intervention, and connect individuals with appropriate resources and services.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct crisis assessments and interventions for individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use emergenciesProvide support and counseling through hotline and face-to-face servicesAssist individuals and families in accessing community resources and treatment servicesCoordinate care with hospitals, emergency departments, law enforcement, and community providersComplete timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and referralsMaintain professional and ethical standards while ensuring high-quality client careParticipate in crisis response activities and assist with program operations as neededQualificationsCandidates must meet one of the following qualification requirements:Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation, Activity Therapies, Counseling, Education, or a related field and three (3) years of direct mental health care experience; ORBachelor's degree in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Anthropology, Political Science, History, Criminal Justice, Theology, Counseling, Education, or a related field, or be a Registered Nurse, and five (5) years of direct mental health care experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience; ORBachelor's degree in Nursing and three (3) years of direct mental health care experience; ORCurrent Registered Nurse license with certification in Psychology or Psychiatry.Required CertificationsCurrent CPR certification required.Preferred Skills and AttributesStrong assessment, crisis intervention, and communication skillsAbility to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situationsKnowledge of community mental health and substance use resourcesExcellent documentation and organizational skillsCommitment to providing compassionate, person-centered careAbility to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary teamJoin Keystone Health Crisis and make a meaningful difference by helping individuals and families navigate mental health and substance use crises while connecting them to the support and services they need.Keystone Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer
