Job summary

Mental Health America of Greenville County is hiring full-time Crisis Intervention Specialists to support the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline via phone, chat, and text. This onsite role includes evening/night shifts and at least one weekend shift per week.

Responsibilities

• Handle the 24/7 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline via phone, chat, and text, providing support, information and referral.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Work onsite for evening/night shifts, with at least one weekend shift per week.

• Previous experience volunteering or working in social services or non-profit fields

Mental Health America of Greenville County is increasing its staffing and is hiring full-time Crisis Intervention Specialists to handle the 24/7 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline via phone, chat and text, offering support, information and referral, and crisis intervention. This is an onsite, evening /night role which includes at least one weekend shift a week.

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
• Ability to sit for extended periods
