Metrocare Services seeks a Crisis Intervention Specialist to provide intensive, community-based crisis support for individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illness. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to assess needs, develop and implement crisis plans, and train caregivers across our service network.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate required in Psychology, ABA, Social Work or related field.
• 1–3 years supervised experience in behavior services for IDD populations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with LIDDA to identify individuals at risk or in crisis.
• Completes biopsychosocial assessments to understand crisis behaviors and needs.
• Creates crisis intervention plans with required supports.
• Implements crisis plans with consumers, caregivers and team members.
• Provides crisis support services to a caseload for stabilization and prevention.
• Attends and documents all team meetings relevant to care.
• Documents progress and coordinates services with internal and external partners.
