Job summary

Metrocare Services seeks a Crisis Intervention Specialist to partner with an inter-disciplinary team delivering intensive, community-based crisis support for individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illness.

The role requires applying biopsychosocial assessments, creating intervention plans, and training caregivers to stabilize crises while coordinating with external agencies and day habilitation teams.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate in Psychology, ABA, Social Work, or related field.
• 1–3 years supervised experience in providing behavior services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Current license/certification in psychology, BCBA, LPC, LCSW, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with LIDDA to identify individuals at risk or in crisis.
• Completes in-depth biopsychosocial assessments to understand crisis needs.
• Creates and implements crisis intervention plans with caregivers and team.
• Provides crisis support and training to the assigned caseload.
• Documents interactions and progress thoroughly and attends team meetings.
