Job summary

CBH Care in Hackensack, NJ seeks a full-time Mental Health Worker to partner with community providers, identify referrals, and initiate crisis contact with families. You will offer supportive counseling during and after crises, and facilitate family consultations with referrals to services and educational materials.

As a team member, you will cover shifts, lead groups, participate in program activities, and ensure timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in mental health and human services.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Works with community providers to identify referral and initiates contact with families in crisis.
• Provides supportive counseling during and after the crisis for the family and their loved ones.
• Facilitates single-family consultations, refers families to supportive community services, offers referrals to resources, and provides educational materials.
• Establishes as a team member; covering shifts, facilitating groups, participating in program activities, communicating all relevant information to other team members.
• Must adhere to the program’s standard for ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
• Operates the organization’s vehicles in a sage and professional manner.
