Job summary

CBH Care in Hackensack, New Jersey, is seeking a full-time mental health professional to work with families in crisis. You will identify referrals, initiate contact with families, and provide supportive counseling during and after crises.

The role includes facilitating family consultations, referring to community resources, maintaining timely documentation, and operating organizational vehicles safely. Shift coverage and group facilitation are part of the job, with opportunities for supervision

Qualifications

• BSW in social work, BA/BS in psychology, or related field.
• Two years of experience in mental health and human services.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Identify referral and initiates contact with families in crisis.
• Provide supportive counseling during and after the crisis for the family and their loved ones.
• Facilitate single-family consultations and refer families to community services and resources.
• Establish as a team member; cover shifts, facilitate groups, participate in program activities, communicate information to teammates.
• Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
• Operate the organization's vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
