Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or RN licensure.
• 1+ year of direct or related mental health counseling experience.
• Knowledge of current psychiatric diagnoses and treatment terminology.
• Completed biopsychosocial assessments including mental status evaluation and patient history.
• Familiarity with community resources and third-party payers, including managed care.
• Basic typing and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic or face-to-face mental health crisis triage, assessment, intervention and disposition.
• Aim for timely face-to-face assessments within 24 hours for urgent cases.
• Refer callers to outpatient care when appropriate within the UHS system.
• Coordinate dispositions with appropriate providers and resources.
• Work weekends and holidays as needed.
