City of Virginia Beach’s Department of Human Services seeks two Mobile Crisis Response Clinician III to provide rapid crisis assessment and intervention for residents and visitors across VB, Norfolk, and the Eastern Shore. The role includes supervision of team members, crisis planning, and coordination with law enforcement and MCRT partners.

Licensed professionals with crisis and case management experience are preferred; flexible schedule includes mornings/evenings/weekends with rotating shifts.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field and five years of relevant experience.
• Licensed LPC, LCSW, LCP or equivalent with Virginia credentials.
• Experience performing complex assessments, crisis planning, crisis intervention, and case management.
• Ability to supervise staff and provide training.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct supervision, consultation, and clinical guidance to Mobile Crisis Response team members.
• Guides and supports staff who provide crisis intervention, stabilization, safety planning, care coordination, and follow-up services.
• Ensures onboarding, ongoing training, and regular supervision for crisis best practices and program standards.
• Completes performance feedback and supports professional development for all assigned staff.
• Provides crisis intervention, mobile crisis response to acute psychiatric crisis to avert hospitalization.
• Performs complex assessments, treatment planning, crisis planning, clinical intervention, and transition planning.
• Provides individual or family counseling and short-term therapeutic crisis interventions.
• Conducts quality assurance reviews of clinical documentation and billing for accuracy and timeliness.
• Partners with law enforcement, CIT, and MCRT to prevent incarceration of individuals with serious mental illness.
