Job summary

Pala Band of Mission Indians in Pala, CA seeks a Program Manager to lead Social Services programs including Mobile Crisis/988 and housing initiatives, coordinating staff, grants, and partnerships.

Under the Social Services Director, you will oversee caseworkers, ensure data reporting, and drive program planning, budgeting, and compliance with grant requirements; travel within and outside the county may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field, or six years of equivalent education/experience.
  • At least five years of related experience; high-level management experience preferred.
  • Two years of supervisory experience with more than three full-time subordinates.
  • Experience in healthcare, medical, or social services settings.
  • Experience working with addiction or mental health issues.
  • Experience with Native American populations preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing; drug-free workplace policy.
  • Fingerprint background check required.
  • Valid Class C driver's license with clean record.
  • Willing to work in the field and travel within and outside city limits.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred; if not certified, certification within 60 days.
  • Indian preference for tribal membership.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee program caseworkers and staff to ensure activities and interventions are completed on time and to program specifications.
  • Provide leadership and supervision of direct services, including leading responding caseworkers and reviewing post-intervention documentation.
  • Provide policy and guideline implementation, clinical consultations, crisis intervention, public speaking, and staff training.
  • Manage the Pala Mobile Response Crisis Team (PMRCT), 988 staffing, and related grants.
  • Ensure program data collection, documentation, and reporting are maintained and completed according to applicable program guidelines.
  • Work with Pala Housing and Pala Social Services Departments to complete bridge housing start-up infrastructure activities.
  • Partner with local CoCs and homeless service efforts; include people with lived experience in planning and implementation.
  • Prepare and submit the BHBH Program Plan detailing funds utilization and service delivery.
