Job summary

Buckelew Programs seeks a Crisis Specialist I to join the Suicide Prevention team in Novato, CA. This full-time role handles calls for individuals in crisis, with training provided and partial remote work after onboarding.

Responsibilities include safety assessments, documentation, and adherence to program KPIs. Strong customer service and crisis intervention skills are essential; bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience providing excellent customer service and crisis support.
• Experience in telephone counseling or crisis intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet help seekers with empathy and cultural sensitivity.
• Complete safety assessments and safety planning.
• Maintain accurate call records and documentation.
• Respond to KPI: answer 90% of calls within 20 seconds.
• Attend trainings and stay updated on protocols.
• Maintain Paycom time records for shifts.
