Job summary

River Edge Behavioral Health in Macon, GA is seeking a DSP Shift Lead to supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs) on each shift. The role includes completing ABC data and finalizing the shift checklist to ensure quality care.

The position reports to the BCBA and focuses on guiding daily living skills, documentation, and adherence to individualized service plans. A stable, supportive environment and opportunities for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; TOFHLA score of 75+ also accepted.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to complete CPR, First Aid and other required trainings.
• Knowledge of patient behavior observation, individualized service plans, and documentation procedures.
• Strong oral and written communication; conflict resolution skills.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead DSPs and RBTs on each shift.
• Complete ABC data and finalize shift checklists.
• Instruct and advise individuals on daily living skills one-on-one or in groups.
• Observe and document client behavior; ensure staff complete documentation.
• Counsel individuals on behavioral issues and decisions.
• Provide personal care as needed.
• Coordinate meals, transportation, and shift communications.
